We are excited about the partnership with Irene Neumann, a certified and experienced counsellor and faith-filled practitioner based in Vienna – Austria, who will guide us through this 3-week Zoom seminar.
July 10, 17, & 24 @ 19:30
Grief comes in all shapes and sizes, from the devastating grief accompanying death to the daily losses of betrayal and misfortune. And while the gospel speaks about grace for sin, does it say anything about grace for grief? Are those who have faith in God’s goodness supposed to grieve? The Bible is both painfully honest but also eternally encouraging about our hurts―assuring us it is normal to hurt but possible to hope.
We will use Bob Kellemen’s book GRIEF WALKING WITH JESUS as a resource.
The book offers suggested resources and reflection questions to help you apply the Gospel truth to your grief. We will learn how much Jesus understands and cares―not only about grief in general but about your grief. Here you can be honest with your grief, give voice to it in lament―and then see how you can find comfort and even bring comfort to others.

About Irene:
Irene spent one-third of her childhood in Canada and two-thirds in Austria, which has made her bilingual and a third-culture kid. She is married to Thomas Nemann, who has a similar integration experience. Together, they have five grown children and four grandchildren. Irene sees it as her mission to help people navigate life’s challenges, make decisions, promote personal development, and enhance their overall quality of life and health. Some of her favourite topics include spiritual care, identity and calling, conflict resolution and nonviolent communication, stress and burnout prevention, work-life balance, decision making, overcoming depression and fear, workplace bullying, career coaching, and embodiment.
Irene’s Process:
Irene can guide you through a creative process to design your life and discover how you can thrive best. You set the goals, establish the pace, and find the solutions that are uniquely yours. Irene developed the concept of emotional “sustainability,” based on the understanding that each person possesses an incredible reservoir of resources. Essentially, it’s the emotions that keep people motivated and moving forward. This emotional fuel inspires individuals to rise each day with joy and anticipation, time and time again. Positive psychology has many pillars, and Irene focuses on self-efficacy in decision-making, aiming to uncover the value of making “good decisions.” These choices can lead to lasting peace of mind and nurture a sense of joy and passion in one’s life.
