Through Prayer and Fasting, we are dedicating Thursdays as holy to the Lord.
Whether you have chosen to pray and fast for an entire day or just for one meal, understand that there’s tremendous power in establishing this discipline in your daily life. God desires a divine partnership with us to fulfil His purposes in our lives, families, and on earth. The Bible shows us that what God leads us to do physically is often connected to the release of spiritual blessings. In other words, our physical actions can influence our circumstances and our battles and victories spiritually. Through fasting, we demonstrate to God our sincere desire for change.

Peace and Comfort for Children Around the World

Isaiah 54:13-14
All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you.
Numbers 6:24-26
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
Reflection:
Children should be able to experience peace: freedom from anxiety, fear, and turmoil. Yet many children worldwide live in constant stress due to war, violence, family conflict, or personal trauma. Jesus promises to give his peace. A peace that is different from anything the world offers.
When we pray for peace and comfort, we’re asking God to surround children with his supernatural peace that transcends their circumstances. We’re interceding for children living in war zones, those experiencing family turmoil, and those whose hearts are troubled by things beyond their control. We’re also praying for communities torn apart by conflict, and for leaders who make decisions that affect children’s safety and wellbeing. God’s peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of his calming, reassuring spirit. It’s a peace that can exist even in the midst of storms.
PRAY
~ Pray for children who need peace in their hearts and homes.
~ Pray for those children who have been traumatised by violence or conflict.
~ Pray for communities working towards reconciliation and harmony.
~ Pray that we may be instruments of God’s peace in a troubled world.
