Pause
Be still and welcome God’s presence.
Pray, Father, I welcome Your presence. Come, Holy Spirit.
Read Psalm 46 (Read through the Psalm a few times)
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear though the earth give way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; He utters His voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah Come, behold the works of the Lord, how He has brought desolations on the earth.
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire. Be still, and know that I Am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
We are interceding on behalf of the people of the Middle East and other regions facing massive conflicts.

Pray for People
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1
Pray for the people who are being affected by this conflict:
For those who are in danger.
For those who have lost their families, friends and loved ones.
For those displaced from their homes.
For those who are cut off from key resources like food, water, and medical care.
Pray for Those in Power
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the chariots with fire.
Psalm 46:9
The king’s heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; He turns it wherever He will.
Proverbs 21:1
Guidance toward decisions that lead to de-escalation and lasting peace.
For wisdom and restraint for every leader involved in this situation.
Soften their hearts, remove the spirit of pride and aggression.
Pray for the Church / Persecuted Church
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Psalm 46:10
For pastors, churches and non-government organisations, that they would be equipped with all they need in the situation to bring relief.
For the members of God’s family who are caught up in conflict, and for the brothers and sisters who are able to help them.
For courage when they are afraid and strength when their faith is tested.
For their protection.
May they shine as lights in the darkness, offering the hope of the Gospel even amidst the rubble.
Pray against the Principalities
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Ephesians 6:12
There are spiritual realities involved in human conflicts. Jesus has ultimate authority over every ‘spiritual force of evil’ in our world.
Begin by praising God for who He is and asking the Prince of Peace to bring miraculous transformation to minds and hearts, resolving the conflict.
Pray against the darkness that is enflaming fear, hatred, and violence.
Pray for Our Enemies
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Matthew 5:44
For the presence of God to arrest them, and bring them to repentance, so that violence may cease from the inside out.
Pray for the aggressors and those perpetrating violence.
For conviction over their hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit.
