IMPACT CHRISTMAS PROJECT
SUPPORT FOR A FAMILY IN NEED
After a full year of investing in the lives of the unborn child we are looking forward to our Christmas baby.
Denis is expecting her 3rd child. Unfortunately this pregnancy is not completely flooded with excitement and joy. Denise is suffering from a lung condition which makes this pregnancy a high risk for her health. In the awareness that treatment for her lung condition is ongoing and should not be postponed to post pregnancy she strongly considers the abortion of her baby as recommended by her medical team. She says: I have strongly considered all options, however in the end I can not live with the intentional termination of this pregnancy. My baby has a right to live. Denise is monitored carefully throughout pregnancy. Some weeks she spends every day in various examinations and treatments. Our organisation is 100 % behind her decision and we are doing everything to eliminate unnecessary burdens. Of course there are financial concerns because she can no longer go to work. Her husband has been in Austria for 3 years and is still waiting for his work permit. At the moment they are completely dependant on social security. Not all medical bills are covered by the general health insurance. Her body needs expensive supplements and also a special diet. Because of extra expenses they have fallen behind in paying for rent. Our organization has covered the extra supplements and medication for the next 2 months. Another organization has covered the debt on their rent. Now Denise needs an entire provision for her baby. The expected due date is Christmas 2025, however her baby will be born pre-mature via C-section dated Dec. 5, so that Denise can start with the necessary treatment for her lungs. It is our goal to support Denise and her family with gifts which support them to meet the immediate needs.
